To me, my eyes are drawn along the red forms. My mind is constantly passing between conclusions as to what they are. Are they veins? Mountains from above? Cracks? Branches?
The lines kind of imply movement, and it seems somewhat to be reaching from bottom right to top left. But as you follow the lines they seem to fade away into blackness, like they're losing their impetus...
